Millennials are ready to buy a home

A recent Pulte Group survey has provided us with some very interesting data.. Millennials – or Generation Y (roughly anyone born between 1980 and 2000) – are a group of up and comers in the real estate market. For a long time it was assumed that this generation would have little or no interest in buying real estate. Often seen as hipsters, commitment-phobic, technology-obsessessed generation, this group of young people has shown a sharp increase in interest to buy a place of their own. Tired of renting, Millennials are looking to build some equity but they have some unique requirements for the kind of property for which they are searching.

  • Mostly single, but not living alone.
  • Looking for ample storage but for technology and daily items – clutter is not an option.
  • The ability to work from home in an office space of some sort.
