Live in the HEART of Jericho Village..

(June 26, 2014 , posted in Listings)

What makes a house a home?  As a Realtor, I've heard all kinds of different answers. Some would say that a house isn't a home until you've celebrated all four seasons and favourite holidays in the house.. Some say it takes time and the making of memories.. Many of us feel that it is the people we live with that make a home.. Some of us feel it is love.. And yet, there are still many of us that feel the home extends beyond the four walls in which we live and includes the surrounding area and community. In other words, if you don't LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE, will your house ever be a home?

Thankfully Vancouver is home to many amazing and unique communities and perhaps it is for this reason that buyers are often very attached to moving specifically to certain areas. We connect with West Van or the Westside in different ways. Some find the North Shore dull and others find it to be an oasis. Some find the Westside too eclectic..and yet, for many, that is the very reason for wanting to live there because within the larger area of the Westside, many, smaller and unique enclaves exist that offer something you cannot find anywhere else. Jericho Village is definitely one of those areas...

Nestled between the edges of Kitsilano, Point Grey and Dunbar (three TOP areas in Vancouver) is an area not far from Jericho Beach known to locals as Jericho Village. This section along West 4th offers residents a lifestyle most of us envy.

Three blocks from the beach and steps to some of Vancouver's BEST restaurants, including La Quercia and Aphrodite's, surrounded by parks, quaint stores, markets, pubs and yearly festivals, this area is home to many happy Vancouverites.

For the active soul, this location provides quick access to Jericho Tennis ClubJericho Sailing ClubUBC Endowment Lands for hiking and biking, as well as, Vancouver's expanding bike lane access for commuting to work downtown or simply to enjoy.

It is rare to find real estate that offers a lifestyle that is comfortable and luxurious, convenient and relaxing, fun and hip, and yet...still adds up to a good investment. Jericho Village in the heart of Kitsilano is one such area that offers all of the above and so much more. Since listing two separate Penthouses in a wonderful boutique building known as La Sonesta at 1989 Dunbar Street in Jericho Village, I have never been busier and more impressed by a community so friendly and vibrant. The demand to live here is high and the two condos I am currently selling are so unique and rich with this lifestyle that I know they won't be around for very long. Interest has been overwhelming in just the first week on the market, that I encourage anyone looking to invest, buy and/or live in the area to come and view these properties as soon as possible.
